Anne-Marie Jones – CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Anne-Marie Jones has spent the last few years trying to navigate through different career paths, before finding one that ‘feels right’.
She has almost finished her CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and is currently employed at RBFI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village also completing her final work placement hours.
“I have finally found something that is more along the lines of what I have been looking for, I enjoy helping people and get satisfaction out of seeing them lead positive lives,” Anne-Marie said.
She acknowledges the challenges completing a course during a pandemic. “We were initially studying at the aged care facility, and due to COVID there were adjustments to our course delivery to work around the new restrictions,” she said.
Anne-Marie believes that considering the circumstances, the management of these changes were handled well by everyone involved. Anne-Marie is now looking forward to finishing her course in the next few weeks, and is grateful to her trainer Deborah for the ongoing support over the past year.
Her employer, RBFI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village has a long standing relationship with 911 and over the past few months has offered three students including Anne-Marie employment at their facility.
“We have a community of staff that have been at our facility for over 30 years, this comes down to our core values and approachable management team,” Pamela Badior, General Manager of RBFI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village said.
RBFI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village looks forward to continuing their collaboration with 911 in finding opportunities for students such as Anne-Marie for work placement and potential employment.
